Anix was founded in 1989 by a team of technical specialists in UNIX and Oracle who had a vision: to do more for their customers than simply supply hardware and software. They believed that the key to their success was the success of their customers, an approach that has led to years of steady growth and profitability with many satisfied customers from both the private and public sectors in the UK.
Anix delivers IT infrastructure and related solutions from initial consultancy, analysis and design through to fully outsourced hosted or remote managed services, support and training. Anix operates two 24x7 Network Operations Centres in Bristol and Manchester and multiple data centres in London, Bristol, Manchester and Dublin.
In August 2007, Posetiv merged with Anix, bringing with it an eight-year heritage of delivering integrated solutions for storage and data management. Their concentrated focus had enabled them to grow rapidly by supporting a wide range of customers with the solutions and services needed to fully utilise, secure and manage proliferating data assets.
On 1st February 2008, Red Squared also merged with Anix. Like Anix, they too had many years’ experience in designing, implementing, delivering and supporting complex cross-platform environments for a broad spectrum of companies, from the provision of highly available systems through to complete managed services.
The merger of these three companies under the Anix brand creates a stronger and more capable IT managed services organisation that is truly greater than the sum of the parts.
An increasing number of companies are taking the strategic decision to outsource some or all of their IT requirements. This can be driven by a number of factors, such as major change to an organisation's core business function or the need to explore and implement new routes to market. But whatever a company’s business issues, Anix has one objective: to ensure that its customers extract the maximum business benefit from IT, by minimising both cost and risk, maximising performance, driving innovation and safeguarding business.
